My name is Shaine Mata. I am in my 40s. Until recently, travel has not been an option for me and my family, or so I thought. After some personal turmoil, I made a choice to turn things around financially and spiritually. My wife and three children have been incredibly patient and understanding as I have figured out who I am and what I should do on this Planet.
Alma is a pre-school teacher with a love for History and particularly for English history. Her desire to explore Britannia is what has sparked an interest in cleaning up our finances and learning about travel.
I am not new to blogging, having done it now for over ten years. However, it is the first time in a long time that I feel a sense of purpose. With travel as a central theme of our lives, it makes so many other decisions easier or of greater priority. There is a lot to share and explain. Hence, travel.write.money was born.
There is a great deal of overlap in travel, writing, and personal finance. You can't travel without money. You can't effectively write about travel or finances without having done either. Money is not a lot of fun without sharing your experiences with others.
To that end, we making Travel, Writing, and Money the focus of our middle age, and perhaps on until our dotage. In the meantime, we want to share what we learn with our readers.
